Renowned star of many Bollywood films and English-language films who is also a member of the famous Kapoor family. In 2010, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
He was a child actor in the early '40s and gave memorable performances in Aag and Awaara.
He was honored with the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award of the Government of India, in 2011.
He was married to Jennifer Kendal from 1958 until 1984. He had three children.
His older brother is famed actor Raj Kapoor .
