ABOUT SHAUN GAYLE

Former defensive back that played for the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Chargers during his twelve-year career. He was a member of the historic 1985 Super Bowl winning Bears team. He was also a one-time pro bowler.

He attended Ohio State University before being drafted as the 271st pick of the tenth round during the 1984 NFL Draft.

He is the record holder for shortest punt return for a touchdown in NFL history when he scored a touchdown after running only five yards during a 1985 divisional round playoff victory against the New York Giants .

He is a native of Newport News, Virginia. He previously had a relationship with a woman named Rhoni Reuter, who was seven months pregnant when she was shot and killed in October 2007.

As a member of the 1985 Bears' team, he played alongside Mike Singletary and he was coached by Mike Ditka .
