ABOUT SHAUN MARTIN
Pianist and songwriter who has won four Grammy awards including three Best Album Grammys. His fourth Grammy was for Best R&B Performance with the experimental funk ensemble Snarky Puppy.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts and the University of North Texas.
He began working as Kirk Franklin 's musical director in the late 1990s. He died at the young age of 45 following a massive stroke.
His solo song "Have Your Chance at Love" touches upon the time in his life when he met his wife.
He performed on and co-wrote songs for Erykah Badu 's second album, Mama's Gun.
