Rapper known as one half of the hip hop duo Field Mob with artist Darion Crawford . They rose to fame with their hit single "So What" featuring rapper Ciara , which landed at number seven on the US Billboard 200.
He and Darion formed after competing in a freestyle rap battle in their high school courtyard.
He has been signed with rapper T-Pain's label Nappy Boy Entertainment.
He was born Shawn Timothy Johnson in Albany, Georgia, but goes by his stage name Shawn Jay. He and member Darion met at Monroe Comprehensive High School.
He publicly dissed rapper Ludacris on his track "Say It to My Face."
