ABOUT SHAYNE WARD

English pop singer who won the second season of the UK's The X Factor. His first single, "That's My Goal," was #1 on the UK Singles Chart in 2005. In 2015, he began appearing as Aidan Connor in the long-running soap Coronation Street .

He was briefly a member of the pop band Destiny.

His debut self-titled album was a #1 certified Platinum album in the UK and Ireland.

He proposed to longtime girlfriend Faye McKeever in September 2012 but the couple later split. He and Sophie Austin had a daughter together in late 2016.

He was mentored by Louis Walsh during the second season of The X Factor.
