South Korean singer and dancer who rose to fame after catching the attention of viewers of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. She signed a record deal with J-Entercom Entertainment soon after and released her debut single, "Answer the Phone." The song would go on to top the charts in the Philippines. Her 2004 single, "Turn," was a top 5 hit on the Korean music charts.

She attended Uijeongbu Girls' High School.

She posts photos of herself on her minakorea Instagram account, where she has gained upwards of 650,000 followers. Her minakorea TikTok account features dance routines and has racked up more than 310,000 followers.

She married singer Ryu Philip in 2018.

Roxanne Barcelo recorded an English-language cover of "Answer the Phone."
