Slobodan Pejic
ABOUT SLOBODAN PEJIC
Sculptor who transformed a 300 year old oak tree into a piece called Coexistence in 2000. He created a new sculpture technique using molding and gas expansion.
He studied in Belgrade and worked as a clarinetist and scenographer at the National Theatre.
He also worked as a painter, his subject matter focusing mostly on human loss and dehumanization.
He was born during a bomb raid in Balatun.
Pejic and Louise Nevelson have both had their work featured in sculpture gardens.
