Best known as the wife of Uruguayan national soccer player Luis Suarez . The pair met in 2001 and were married in 2009.

She met Suarez when both were only fifteen years old. He was working as a street sweeper and saved up all his money to take her on a date.

Her husband lied to her about the infamous biting incident with Giorgio Chiellini of the 2014 World Cup but came clean after all the media coverage.

She and Suarez have two children, a daughter named Delfina and a son named Benjamin. Her brother, Gonzalo Balbi, is also a soccer player and has played for Iceland's KR Reykjavik. She has a pet dog named Simba.

Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers praised her and Suarez's relationship in a quote in the Daily Mail in April of 2014.
