Ukrainian-born actress, model, and advocate who is known for appearing in a viral video at the age of seven answering questions asked by her mother about her Down Syndrome. She had a minor role in the television series Switched at Birth and a starring role in the 2022 Indie film For Paloma.

Prior to acting, she was known for appearing in a series of videos raising awareness about Down Syndrome and was part of a subsequent media tour with her mother.

She plays the character of Wovey for the 2023 installment of The Hunger Games series, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes . Her acting fame has led her to accumulate more than 80,000 followers on her the.sofia.sanchez Instagram account.

She was adopted out of Ukraine by an American family, and she has one brother who also has Down Syndrome.
