ABOUT SOLAR

South Korean singer who became the lead singer of the girl group Mamamoo formed by Rainbow Bridge World (aka WA Entertainment) in 2014. They made their first splash with their debut song "Mr. Ambiguous" in 2014.

She was born Kim Yong-seon but goes by her stage name Solar.

She participated in the competition series King of Mask Singer disguised as a sunflower. She made her solo debut in 2020 with the song "Spit It Out."

She is from Seoul and grew up with an older sister. She and fellow Korean pop star Eric Nam appeared together on a virtual marriage show called We Got Married.

She is joined by Moon Byul in Mamamoo.
