ABOUT SONGUL KARLI

Television presenter and folk music artist with 10 album releases to her name between 1991 and 2004. She won Kral TV Video Music Awards for Turkish Folk Music Best Female Artist in back-to-back years in 1997 and 1998.

Her debut album arrived in 1991 and was titled Derman Sendedir.

She has been honored by the Alt Butterfly Awards and Spy Magazine Awards with victories as a recording artist. She had her own show on Channel 7 called Songül Karlı İle Cumartesi.

She divorced from her husband in 2008.

She and Zara are both Turkish folk singers.
