ABOUT SONJA YELICH

Poet who has won acclaim for poetry collections like Clung (2004) and Get Some (2008), the latter of which was named as a finalist at the New Zealand Post Book Awards. She is also famous for being the mother of "Royals" singer Lorde .

She became a teacher after graduating from the University of Auckland.

Her collection Clung won the Jessie Mackay Award for Best First Book of Poetry.

In addition to Lorde , she has three other children with her husband Vic O'Connor.

She has posted photos of actress Zoe Kazan on her Instagram account.
