Colorado State University football coach who was named National Coach of the Year in 1994.
A Montana native, he coached the Montana State Bobcats for eight seasons before coming to Colorado State.
The Colorado State University football stadium was re-named the Sonny Lubick Field in his honor.
He and his wife raised three children: Michelle, Mark, and Matt.
He was the longtime head coach at Colorado State University, where he coached punter Tom Rouen .
