ABOUT SONNY MAYO
Guitarist, songwriter and producer who's best known for his career with punk and heavy metal bands such as Sevendust, Ugly Kid Joe, Snot, and Rock to Recovery. He co-wrote and recorded three of Sevendust's full-length albums, including Next, Alpha and Chapter 7: Hope & Sorrow.
He originally joined the thrash metal band Silence in the late 1980s.
He engineered and co-produced Ugly Kid Joe's Stairway to Hell album.
He was born in Washington, D.C.
He was replaced by Sevendust's original guitar player Clint Lowery in 2008.
