He began his career on stage at the age of thirteen in his hometown of Dallas, Texas.

He played the co-starring role in the romantic comedy, Chasing Liberty (2004).

He has a twin brother. In 2011 he married Gemma Clarke and together they have a child.

He co-starred in the film, Shall We Dance (2004) alongside Jennifer Lopez .
