ABOUT STEFAN FREI

Swiss goalkeeper who began his MLS career with Toronto FC in 2009. After five years with the team, he joined the Seattle Sounders FC in 2014.

He played college soccer at the University of California, Berkeley from 2006 to 2008.

He won 4 straight Canadian Championships with Toronto FC from 2009 to 2012.

His second cousin Alexander Frei played striker for the Swiss national team for a decade.

He played alongside defender Aaron Maund on Toronto FC.
