A former Poldark child actor who hosts the BBC coaching programs Cooking in the Danger Zone and Food Factory.
He had his first acting role in the 1974 television series Z Cars.
He has written numerous cooking themed books, including the 2012 book Incredible Edibles.
He has one sister named Samantha, who was also a child actor.
He acted with George Montgomery in the 1984 TV movie Children's Island.
