Steny Hoyer

ABOUT STENY HOYER

Maryland Democrat and member of the United States House of Representatives. He notably became the House Majority Leader in 2007.

He received his law degree from Georgetown University.

He served as President of the Maryland State Senate from 1975-1978.

His marriage to Judith Hoyer produced three children: Stefany, Anne, and Susan.

He and fellow Maryland Democratic politician Ben Cardin both served in the U.S. House of Representatives.
