ABOUT STEVE BALSAMO
Stage actor famous for his work playing Jesus in the London-based production of Jesus Christ Superstar . He sang on several songs on the Eric Woolfson album Poe: More Tales of Mystery and Imagination. His debut single as a solo artist reached the UK Top. 40.
He nearly studied graphic art at Bristol University before choosing to pursue acting instead.
He opened The Prince's Trust Masters of Music Concert at Hyde Park in 1996. He has a vocal range of 3.5 octaves. He won a Variety Club award in 1997. Rosalie Deighton and he formed a duo called Balsamo Deighton.
His mother is Welsh and his father is Italian.
He has written songs for Meat Loaf and Slash .
