ABOUT STEVE CONTE

Former lead guitarist of the punk rock band The New York Dolls. He also founded the band The Contes.

He first gained notoriety as a member of the New York Dolls in 1973, when they released their self-titled debut album.

He has also composed tracks for anime series like Wolf's Rain and Cowboy Bebop.

His brother John Conte was also a member of The Contes.

He and singer David Johansen were both members of the seminal New York punk rock band The New York Dolls.
