He started boxing at age 9 and won five national titles at just 112 lbs.
He retired from boxing after losing his bid for the IBF Inter-Continental Super-Bantamweight title to Carl Frampton .
His brother is former commonwealth champion Jeremy Molitor.
He and Nicaragua's Alexis Arguello have both been Junior Featherweight champions.
