ABOUT STEVE PRESTWICH
Australian musician best remembered as the drummer for the 70's rock band Cold Chisel, with whom he wrote hit singles like "When the War Is Over." He was later a member of The Little River Band and released two solo albums.
He was born in Liverpool and joined the folk band Sandy in 1970.
Following his death as a result of a brain tumor, a flame tree was planted in his memory at the National Arboretum Canberra.
He was survived by a daughter named Melody and a son named Vaughan.
He was bandmates in Cold Chisel with the band's singer, Jimmy Barnes .
