ABOUT STEVE STAIOS
Canadian journeyman defender who retired in 2012 after spending his last season with the New York Islanders.
He was born in Ontario, Canada to Macedonian parents. He was a second-round selection of the St. Louis Blues in the 1991 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
He played with a lot of teams, including the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, Atlanta Thrashers, and Calgary Flames.
He and his wife, Susannah, had a daughter and a son.
He and Trevor Linden both played for the Vancouver Canucks.
