ABOUT STEVEN KWAN

Professional outfielder that was drafted by the Cleveland Indians during the fifth round of the 2018 MLB Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played collegiate baseball at Oregon State University . He was named the American League Rookie of the Month in April 2022.

He began his professional baseball career playing for Cleveland's rookie affiliate team, the Arizona League Indians. Shortly after, he began playing for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers of the MLB Draft League.

He made his major league debut playing against the Kansas City Royals on April 7, 2022. He got his first MLB hit that night facing Scott Barlow . Fans can find him on Instagram under the handle skwanzaa, and he uses the platform as a place to post snapshots from his playing career.

He grew up living with his family in Los Gatos, California. He was born of both Chinese and Japanese descent.

He hit his first career major league home run facing José Berríos on May 5, 2022.
