ABOUT SULAMITH MESSERER
Former dancer, most recognized for laying the foundation for Ballet in Japan.
She was trained at the Moscow Ballet School under the great Vasily Tikhomirov.
She was awarded the Stalin Prize in 1946.
She was born in Russia, but spent much of her life in Tokyo.
She and actress Jane Seymour were both selected as Members of the Order of the British Empire.
