ABOUT SUSANNE BAER
German lawyer, scholar, and author who began serving in 2011 as the first openly homosexual Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany. Some of her published works include Comparative Constitutionalism: Cases and Materials, Tolerating Order - How Much Can Freedom Take?
She has studied atĀ Free University Berlin, Goethe University Frankfurt, and the University of Michigan Law School.
She has been a law professor in public law and gender studies at multiple universities. Throughout the years, she has also served on a number of advisory boards and boards of trustees. Her writings and other works have earned her honors, as well, throughout the years.
She was born and raised in Germany.
