ABOUT SVERRIR GUDNASON

Best Actor winner at the 2009 Shanghai International Film Festival for his role in the Swedish/Danish film Original who went on to play Bjorn Borg in 2017's Borg vs McEnroe. He then landed the starring role of Mikael Blomkvist in 2018's The Girl in the Spider's Web .

He portrayed a character called Jonas in a 1996-1997 mini-series titled Sexton.

He had leading roles in productions at both Gothenburg's and Stockholm's city theatres. He played Pontus Hoijer in the second series of Wallander.

Born in Lund, Sweden and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland, he later moved with his family to Tyresö, Sweden after his father found work as a professor at the Royal Institute of Technology.

He starred opposite Shia LaBeouf in Borg vs McEnroe.
