ABOUT SYDNEY SCHANBERG
American journalist who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1976 for his coverage of the war in Cambodia.
He graduated from Harvard University in 1955 with a BA in government.
His 1980 book, The Death and Life of Dith Pran, inspired the 1984 film The Killing Fields.
He had two daughters with his wife, Jane Freiman.
He was played by Sam Waterston in The Killing Fields.
