ABOUT SYLVIA KIBET
Long-distance runner who took silver for Kenya in the 5,000 meter race at the 2009 and 2011 World Championships.
In the 1999 World Youth Championships, she won silver in the 1,500-meter race.
She won bronze at the 2007 All-Africa Games in the 5,000 meter race.
Her sister Hilda Kibet and cousin Lornah Kiplagat both became competitive runners for the Netherlands.
Yusuf Saad Kamel also competed for Kenya at the 2009 World Championships, winning gold in the men's 1,500 meter race.
