ABOUT TANISHA MARIKO HARPER

Former Ford fashion model and television personality best known for her appearances in the reality television series Project Runway , where eventually she finished second during the show's sixth season. Since beginning her modeling career in the year 2000, she has been featured in shoots for Elle, Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair, Ralph Lauren , L'Oréal, and MAC cosmetics.

She first began modeling at the age of 15. At the time, she worked as a print model.

Besides modeling, she also has a passion for acting. This far, she has made appearances in shows such as Ugly Betty , The Bold and the Beautiful , General Hospital , and Forgetting Sarah Marshall .

Although she was born in Tokyo, Japan, she grew up living with her family in the Phoenix, Arizona area. She is of African American and Native American descent.

She has made television appearances on shows with famous celebrities such as Tyra Banks and Oprah Winfrey .
