ABOUT TANZEL SMART

NFL defensive tackle that was selected by the Los Angeles Rams during the sixth round of the 2017 Draft. He was later signed by the New York Jets in October 2020. He has also played for the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns during his NFL career.

Prior to being drafted, he played college football at Tulane University . While there, he earned first team All-AAC honors in 2015 and 2016.

He made his official NFL debut playing against the Indianapolis Colts during week one of the 2017 regular season. He and the Rams won the game 46-9.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is the son of Lewanna Ventress.

He was selected during the 2017 NFL Draft just like Myles Garrett and Mitch Trubisky .
