ABOUT TERENCE DEVERE WHITE
Irish novelist, biographer, playwright, and short fiction writer who also served as editor of The Irish Times during the 1960s and '70s.
After graduating from Trinity College, Dublin, he pursued a career as a lawyer.
His novels include Prenez Garde and The March Hare.
With his wife, Mary O'Farrell, he had one daughter and two sons. He had a second daughter with author Dervla Murphy. He later married biographer Victoria Glendinning.
He was a contemporary of fellow Irish fiction writer Frank O'Connor .
