At the age of eleven, he became his church's official pianist.
In the early 1990s, he founded a ministry in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He left his music ministry in 2008 after admitting to cheating on his first wife. In 2010, he married his second wife, Elizabeth Valentine.
He had a worship music partnership with televangelist Benny Hinn .
