ABOUT THOMAS FLUHARTY
Pop culture artist and illustrator whose work has been featured in publications like The New York Times, The Weekly Standard, and the U.S. News & World Report. He is known for political and social commentary, celebrity caricatures, and even several children's books.
After earning an associate degree at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, he trained for over a decade with cartoonist Ken Bald. He would later study painting at the School of Visual Arts and the National Academy of Fine Arts.
He was one of five advertising illustrators to co-found the storyboarding company Pitch House.
His wife's name is Kristi. The couple had five daughters and settled together in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
In 1998, he did a portrait of Ken Griffey Jr. and Mark McGwire for the cover of Time magazine.
