ABOUT THOMAS SZAPUCKI

Southpaw reliever that was originally drafted by the New York Mets during the fifth round of the 2015 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the San Francisco Giants via trade in August 2022.

He was drafted out of William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Shortly after being drafted, he initially began his professional career playing for the GCL Mets.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Atlanta Braves on June 30, 2021, as a member of the Mets. He pitched just 3.2 innings and he recorded four strikeouts. In the MLB, he has played in over ten games throughout the course of his career.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Toms River, New Jersey.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Darin Ruf .
