Famous as the chairman and CEO of one of the US' largest restaurant businesses Landry's, Inc. In October 2017, he officially became the owner of the NBA's Houston Rockets.

He attended both Houston University and Texas Tech University, where he studied business administration. He first delved into entrepreneurialism as a vitamin salesman.

He developed and has starred in his own CNBC reality TV series Billion Dollar Buyer, which he premiered in 2016. He was one of the original investors in the NFL's Houston Texans team.

He shares four children named Blake, Blayne, Patrick, and Michael with his wife Paige.

He has frequently appeared alongside high profile athletes such as J.J. Watt and Simone Biles and on social media.
