ABOUT TIM DOWNIE
English actor and writer who first began to gain recognition for roles in television series such as Out of Tune and Hollyoaks . He subsequently landed roles in series such as Toast of London, Outlander , and Upstart Crow. His film credits include roles in the 2010 drama The King's Speech and the 2014 live-action animated comedy Paddington .
He attended Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts before launching his acting career.
His first commissioned play, The Dead Moon, was the first non-operatic work to be staged at the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts. He posts photos of himself spending time with fellow actors on his timdownie1 Instagram account that has 60,000 followers. He also co-hosts the Outcasts podcast.
He is originally from Hitchin, England.
He worked alongside Liza Tarbuck and David Mitchell on the cast of Upstart Crow.
