ABOUT TIM SHAW

Former NFL linebacker known primarily for his special teams play as a member of the Tennessee Titans. He retired in 2014, having played his last game in 2012, and was soon after diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease.

He attended Penn State and played linebacker alongside Dan Connor and Paul Posluszny , both of whom would also play in the NFL.

He was named to USA Today's All-Joe team in 2010. He's a devout Christina, having traveled to places like Haiti on mission trips.

He grew up with three brothers, Steve, Pete, and Drew.

He and Steve Gleason are both former NFL players who began suffering from ALS.
