ABOUT TIM SIMPSON
Former PGA Tour golfer known for superb ball-striking and a shaky short game; won four PGA tournaments in his career.
He played collegiate golf at the University of Georgia, leaving when he was 20 years old to play professionally.
His PGA career ended due to complications from Lyme Disease in 1991; he eventually recovered and played on the Nationwide Tour.
He was born in Atlanta, Georgia.
Early in his career he was mentored by the legendary Sam Snead .
