ABOUT TOBY GARD

British videogame designer and author best known for co-creating Lara Croft . He has since worked designing new franchises, such as Otherworlds and Ninja Gaiden Z. He is the CEO and owner of Cathuria Games.

His first break in the business happened when he was hired to work on BC Racers, an early videogame series.

He co-shared a Best Writing in a Video Game award in 2009, bestowed by the Writers Guild of America. It was in recognition of his work on Underworld . The character Lara Croft has appeared in over 20 different games since its creation.

He has been married and has one son. He grew up with his family in Chelmsford. He posted this makes him an Essex boy.

His videogame work has been brought to screen life by Angelina Jolie , Jon Voight and Dominic West .
