Togrul Narimanbekov

ABOUT TOGRUL NARIMANBEKOV

Modern artist who received the USSR State Prize and the Order of the Badge of Honour of Azerbaijan.

He studied at the Lithuania Institute of Fine Arts and at the Azerbaijan Art School.

He was named a People's Artist of Azerbaijan in 1967.

His father Farman Narimanbeyov helped construct the Mingachevir Hydro Power Plant in 1929. His daughter Esmer Nerimanbeyova also became an artist.

He and landscape painter Sattar Bahlulzade were both awarded the People's Artist of Azerbaijan honor.
