ABOUT TOM ATKINS
Actor who became known for his roles in horror films such as Night of the Creeps, Bruiser, Creepshow, and both John Carpenter 's Halloween III and The Fog. He also appeared in The Ninth Configuration and Escape from New York.
He studied at Pittsburgh's Duquesne University and performed in Broadway plays before moving to Los Angeles to pursue opportunities in television and film.
His debut film role was in the Frank Sinatra and Robert Duvall movie The Detective. He was cast in the 1968 box office hit as Officer Jack Harmon.
He was married twice, to actress Garn Stephens and to Janice Atkins, and had one child.
He co-starred with Mel Gibson in the popular 1987 film, Lethal Weapon .
