ABOUT TOM COURTENAY
Distinguished British actor who appeared in the 1983 film, The Dresser. In 2007, he played Farder Coram in The Golden Compass.
He studied acting at London's Royal Academy of Drama.
He gained popularity in the 1960's for his roles in The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, but afterwards returned to theater.
He married his second wife, stage manager Isabel Crossley, in 1988.
