ABOUT TOM SMITH

Lead singer and lyricist for the indie rock band Editors who also plays keyboard and rhythm guitar. He has released singles like "Bonny" for a charity album. He has also collaborated on multiple albums with musician Andy Burrows .

He attended and studied music technology at Staffordshire University where he met his bandmates.

He sold a pair of his Converse All-Stars to raise money for the Mines Advisory Group. In September of 2022, Editor released their seventh studio album titled EBM.

He and his wife Edith Bowman have two sons together.

He is often compared to Michael Stipe , lead singer of R.E.M., for his vocal style.
