Singer and songwriter who was known for his pop folk style of music. His famous songs include "Cursed Sunday," "Let Me Live My Own Life" and "We're Two Different Worlds." His first album was released in 1964. He died of prostate cancer at the age of 52.

He was of Serbian descent and was born in Aleksinac as one of five siblings. He grew up impoverished in a poor village. He went on to be married four times, and he eventually fathered a son.
