MLB first baseman who was a second-round selection of the San Francisco Giants in 2009. He made his major league debut in 2016 with the Philadelphia Phillies.

He was drafted directly out of Horizon High School in Arizona, where he played both first base and catcher.

He was named the Arizona High School Player of the Year in his senior year in 2009.

He grew up in Phoenix, Arizona.

He was sent to the Phillies in a trade that sent Hunter Pence to the Giants in 2012.
