ABOUT TOMMY KEVIN LAYNE

Southpaw reliever that was originally selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks as 26th round pick in the 2007 MLB Draft. He was later signed by the St. Louis Cardinals in November 2018. He has also pitched in the San Diego Padres , New York Yankees , Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox organizations.

He is a graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School in St. Peters, Missouri. While there, he was a two-sport athlete.

He made his official MLB debut while playing against the Atlanta Braves on August 14, 2012. He collected one strikeout in a scoreless pitching appearance. Throughout the course of his playing career, he pitched more than 120 strikeouts. He is a left-handed batter and pitcher.

He grew up living with his family in St. Louis, Missouri. He now lives along with his wife, Meghan, and their daughter.

He collected his first MLB strikeout facing Adrian Gonzalez .
