ABOUT TOMMY MCLEAN

Former Scottish midfielder who played for Scotland's national team, won the 1972 Cup Winners Cup as a member of the Rangers, and went on to manage teams after his playing career was over.

He grew up playing soccer in Larkhall, Scotland with his brothers.

He represented the Scottish League XI seven times.

He grew up with older brothers Jim and Willie, who also became players and managers.

Legendary striker Ally McCoist joined the Rangers one year after McLean's departure from the team.
