ABOUT TONY EARL

American lawyer and Democratic politician who is best known for serving as the 41st governor of Wisconsin from 1983 until 1987. He also served three terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Marathon County.

In 1958, he graduated from Michigan State University . He earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago .

From 1965 to 1966, he was the district attorney of Marathon County, Wisconsin and from 1966 to 1969, he was the city attorney of Wausau, Wisconsin.

His wife is Sheila Coyle.

He served as secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in the administration of Governor Patrick Lucey .
