Grandson of cinema legend Samuel Goldwyn , he is well known to television audiences as President Fitzgerald Grant on the hit ABC series Scandal . In 2019, he began starring in Netflix's Chambers .
He studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and Hamilton College.
He portrayed the character Carl Bruner in the 1990 film Ghost .
He married Jane Musky in 1989. They have two daughters named Anna and Tess.
He played the title role in Disney's Tarzan, opposite Minnie Driver .
